Public School, Bacheli took its inception in the year 1990 at NMDC Township, Bacheli. The School came into existence as a small school with very low number of students, run in a few rooms under the roof made of cement sheets, located at remote area of Bastar – far away from the facilities available in city areas. But... a seed was sown, and the sapling was nurtured with devotion, care, vision and commitment. That small school became a big school with many achievements. The sapling turned into a big, healthy tree, giving shelter, energy and direction to many to make them able. DAV Bacheli is now one among the upcoming stars of DAV Institutions managed by DAV College Managing Committee. The school is sponsored by BIOM Bacheli complex of National Mineral Development Corporation Ltd, a Navratna company of India. Since the inception of the school, BIOM Bacheli Complex, NMDC Ltd has been providing and helping the school with its unending noteworthy co-operation and care. The entire infrastructure and fund has been provided by BIOM Bacheli Complex, NMDC Ltd. The school is located at the prime land in NMDC Township amid lush green surrounding, 30 KM south to Dantewada district of Chhattishgarh state. Now the school has a massive structure of three buildings, one for the Junior section, the other for the Secondary and Senior Secondary section and the third one for the Principal and Official staff. The school has number of well ventilated spacious rooms, with green boards, good quality of furniture and all the amenities not less in comparison to any public school of city areas. Keeping in view the increasing number of students year by year, and as per the vision of the patrons of the school, many more rooms are under construction.The school offers a big library, reading room, various laboratories to compliment academic teaching such as Physics lab, Chemistry lab, Biology lab, Math lab, Computer lab and AV room equipped with all the modern equipments and amenities. It has two playgrounds and one indoor open auditorium to fulfil the co-curricular needs of the students along with the Music room, Dance room, Art & Craft room and CCA room.
